Incident 027/2022

The rescue Team were requested by the North West Ambulance Service to assist a fisherman who had slipped and tripped and had dislocated his knee.

With the fisherman on the bank of Heapy reservoir, this meant the rescue Team had to use a rope rescue system to extricate him as the bank is on steep ground. Once we had treated and made our casualty comfortable, he was extricated and then carried on a mountain rescue stretcher to a local land ambulance where he was then transferred by road into the local hospital.
