Early on Saturday morning 12th April 2025 we were contacted by Lancashire Police to continue with the search around the Harrisend Fell area for Jo Overton who had been reported missing by his family the day before, sadly as we were preparing for another day of search, we were alerted that a body had been discovered on rural farmland just off Oakenclough road.
Police Officers attended and sadly confirmed and very sadly confirmed that the man found was sadly deceased.
The rescue Team then stood down but were alerted shortly afterwards (Incident 021) to assist in the recovery of Jo.
Our continued thoughts go out to the family and friends of Jo during this sad time.
