On Friday afternoon, at 5pm on the 25th April 2025 our rescue Team were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service for the second time today to attend to a 15-year-old female with dislocated knee.
The casualty, who was part of a DofE group was out walking in the wooded area east of Silverdale.
Team members were quickly on scene and assessed the casualty, and after consideration and agreement with the adult leaders, we successfully walked the party to a safe area where she could then be transported into hospital.
14 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team attended this incident which took just over 3 hours to complete.
We wish our young casualty a speedy and healthy recovery.
