Incident 035/2025
Friday 30th May 2025 at 13.00hrs the rescue Team were called by the North West Ambulance Service to attend to a 74-year-old male who had fallen and had twisted his ankle.
Once on scene the left ankle was splinted and he was placed onto our mountain rescue Bell stretcher and carried to our Team vehicle where he was then transferred into.
Once we arrived at a suitable point on the road, he was then transferred into his partner’s car and taken to hospital for further assessment and possible treatment, our rescue Team then stood down.
We wish our casualty a speedy recovery and hopefully he will be back out and about walking very soon.
12 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue were involved in this rescue which took just over 3 hours to complete.
