Incident 055/2025

Friday 29th August 2025 at 12.37 hrs our rescue Team were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service to attend and assist with a 84-year-old male mountain biker who had fallen.

Upon arrival and on scene, the casualty was treated and placed into our mountain rescue casualty bag (large sleeping bag) and then was stretchered the short distance on our mountain rescue Bell stretcher to a nearby car park where we then handed him over.

We were short today with Team members so we requested the help and assistance from our neighbour Bolton Mountain Rescue Team who provided a vehicle with 4 crew members.

7 Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team volunteers attended today and we wish the mountain biker a swift and healthy recovery.
