Incident 056/2025

Thursday afternoon, late in the day on the 4th September we were called to assist with a dog walker who had fallen on the bank of the River Lune.

The 69-year-old male had hit his head during the fall and needed medical attention, with an Ambulance crew on scene they requested our services for the extrication.

Once the casualty was treated and placed onto a stretcher, Team members and the Ambulance crew carried the male across bumpy ground to the ambulance which was parked on the road.

11 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were involved in this rescue and we wish the male walker a swift and healthy recovery.
