Incident 006/2026

Wednesday 18th February at 12.37hrs we were called the North West Ambulance Service to attend to an injured 54-year-old female who had slipped on mud and wasn’t able to weight bear.

The injury, a deformed left ankle was splinted along with mild pain killers, she was then transported in our mountain rescue Landrover the short distance to the Ambulance where she was transferred.

Our best wishes for a speedy recovery to our casualty, hopefully she will be back out and about soon walking and enjoying the local area.

10 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were involved in this incident, which took nearly 4 hours to complete.
