Incident 008/2026

At 15.58 hrs on Saturday 14th March the rescue Team were requested to assist with a 17-year-old male who had fallen from his mountain bike while out on Heysham Head.

A multi-agency call resulted in the Fire Service, Coast Guard, Mountain Rescue and the North West Ambulance Service responding to this incident, however as Team members arrived the young male was already being escorted to safety so our rescue Team stood down.

13 volunteers of Bowland Pennine responded which took nearly 2 hours, the rescue Team wishes the young mountain biker a quick and swift recovery.
