Incident 009/2026
On Saturday 21st March the rescue Team were called by the North West Ambulance Service to attend to an 81-year-old male who had fallen and had injured his head and nose while out walking in the Nicky Nook area.
We had received reports that the casualty had collapsed causing the injuries, however as the injured male was in the safe hands of the ambulance service our rescue Team stood down.
14 volunteers of Bowland Pennine mountain rescue team were responding to this incident and we wish the casualty a very speedy recovery.
