Incident 022/2026

Saturday 23rd May at 12.25hrs, we were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service to assist with 53 year-old female who had fallen from her mountain bike near the Goyt in Brinscall.

With ambulance Paramedics also on scene it was determined that her left ankle was injured with a potential break. With the rescue team on hand, along with the Paramedics we successfully stretchered her the short distance across difficult ground to where the land ambulance was parked.

13 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were involved in this short rescue which took just over 3 hours to complete.
