Incident 031/2026

Saturday 1st August whilst Bowland Pennine were supporting the Borrowdale fell race, a 54-year-old female runners’ approach our Team members who where present saying she was feeling unwell, dizzy and unable to continue the race.

Our Team members on scene assessed the runners medical incident and decided that she needed rest and re-assurance, then after a long break of rest, Team members escorted the runner back down the mountain to the race field were she was then re-assessed, where she was then advised to seek further medical advice with her GP or local hospital walk in centre.

5 Team members were involved in this incident and we wish the runner all the very best for her future.
