Tuesday 11th August at 15.10hr, the Team were requested by the North West Ambulance Service to attend to a 46-year-old female who had fallen near the summit of Beacon fell, sustaining an injured right ankle.
On arrival, we guided the ambulance Paramedics to the scene where the casualty was assessed and treated, we used one of our box splints to immobilise the ankle then transferred her on our mountain rescue Bell stretcher back to the car park where the ambulance was.
We wish the young lady a speedy recovery and wish her well for the future.
