The rescue Team were contacted by Lancashire Constabulary on Monday 28th September for a concern with welfare situation for a 61-year-old male who had been missing from home for a a number of hours.
Team incident commanders were quickly in the area where the missing male was last seen, organised search parties and search dogs and completed search areas that were heavily overgrown, water margins of River Lune and surrounding areas.
When we stood down, the 61-year-old male was still outstanding.
31 volunteers of mountain rescue and 5 search dogs of MRSDE attended this search, these included Bowland Pennine MRT, Bolton MRT, Calder Valley SRT, CRO and Swaledale MRT.
