Standby 003/2022

The rescue Team were put on standby for storm Dudley and later storm Eunice. With the weather forecast predicting an Amber warning for high and strong wind in the Cheshire, Merseyside and Lancashire areas, especially high ground and coastal areas reaching 70-80 mph, 41 team members over a period of 24 hours were on full standby to deploy if the need required.

The Team Leader along with incident controllers attended various resilience Forums and emergency meetings throughout this period, keeping the rescue Team updated and informed. Once the main storm had passed, the team stood down and returned to normal callout procedures.
