On Friday 18th April 2025, we were contacted by Lancashire Police to attend the West Pennine Moors to carry out a body recovery, sadly it was thought to be the missing walker and bird watcher, Brian Fletcher.
13 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were involved in recovering Brian, which involved a short stretcher carry of the fell into the duty Undertakers care.
Our thoughts go with Brian’s family and friends during these sad times.
