The rescue Team covered the Winter Tolkien Trail race over the festive season which was held on Saturday 30th December 2023. 9 Team members in all, with local support available if needed attended and provided vital first aid care and communications on the day.
With over 350 registered starters, 290 made it across the start and finish line and we had just the one incident to report, a female runner had tripped over near the end of the race and injured her right knee. Team members attended the runner, cleaned and bandaged the wound and advised a hospital visit into A&E as a precaution.
A quiet and peaceful event, with plenty of happy runners.
