Saturday 2nd August 2025, the second incident of the day whilst we were covering the Borrowdale Fell race, a female with arm and leg injuries presented herself to our Team members at Sty Head for assistance.
After an assessment and clean up, the female, a non-competitor decided to continue on her way, however, a short time later we had been notified that a lady had fallen a short distance from our check point and could we investigate.
It was found that the person who needed help was the same person, this time a head injury with a small graze on the top of the head.
After cleaning and bandages, she was escorted off the hill to Seathwaite and transported in a team vehicle back to race control while she was overseen by medical staff.
The Team then stood down this incident. We wish the lady a quick and swift recovery.
