Saturday 21st June 2025 during the Quernmore Sports day, one of the U11s boys post race presented himself to our Control with difficulty in breathing.
Team members acted swiftly and tried to dislodge the item that was obstructing his throat and thankfully he was breathing near normal, we advised his parent once he had stabilised to seek further advice and help, so he went to Lancaster Royal Infirmary for further checks.
We wish both parent and the 10-year-old boy a speedy recovery and hopefully they will return for next year’s events.
