A service takes place by the Cocklers’ memorial near Morecambe lifeboat station on Monday afternoon 5th February 2024 to remember the 23 people from China who died in Morecambe Bay 20 years ago today.
The service was attended by members of the Coastguard, RNLI, Police, Mountain Rescue other rescue services and members of the public.
Our own mountain rescue team were deployed with other MRTs during this sad incident 20 years ago.
