Incident 001/2021 Clayton-le-Woods

On Saturday 2nd January 2021 late afternoon as darkness was falling Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team (BPMRT) received a request from the North West Ambulance Service to assist an ambulance crew for a 17 year old female who had suffered a leg injury whilst sledging. Upon arrival, the rescue Team assisted the Paramedics with the treatment, applied our Mountain Rescue leg splint and evacuated her using our mountain rescue Bell stretcher to an ambulance for onward transportation into Preston Royal Infirmary.
