On Wednesday evening 23rd November 2022, at 17.40 we were requested by Lancashire Constabulary to assist with an on-going search for a vulnerable 24-year-old female who was reported missing from home.
Intelligence on the day indicated she was in the Beacon Fell area (her car was parked nearby) and the rescue Team was required for feet on the ground for a wide area sweep search.
However, as our incident control was set up and team members were arriving, we received the great news that she had been located safe but cold in the search area by a Police Search dog, so all of our resources stood down.
The rescue Team had 31 volunteers available for this search, thankfully our missing person was safe, and she was returned to her family.
