Incident 028/2023

The rescue team were requested by Lancashire Police to assist in a multi-agency search for a 30-year-old male had had gone missing. With the young male having special needs, the concern was he wouldn’t realise the situation and danger he was under.

An area identified East of Garstang, near Delph lane was highlighted as an area out missing person could be in, and the Police located our young male in this area shortly after the rescue team had been called.

As team members were arriving at our Headquarters in Garstang for deployment, with the good news he had been located safe and well, the rescue team then stood down.

21 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team attended this search which lasted 2 hours for ourselves.

We wish the young man and the family all the very best for the future.
