On Sunday evening, the 28th April 2024 we were requested by our neighbour Bolton Mountain Rescue to assist with an ongoing search for a 9 year old male in the Rivington Pike area. Thankfully, the young man was found and reunited with his family.
Other agencies involved were Lancashire Fire & Rescue, Mountain Rescue Search dogs, United Utilities, Greater Manchester Police and the National Police Air Service (Police Helicopter).
18 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue were attending this search and we hope the young man is doing well.
