The Team were requested by the North West Ambulance Service at 17.47 hrs on Thursday 21st November 2024 to help out with vehicles that appeared stuck attempting to drive up a hill due to ice and snow, there were reports that multiple vehicles were unable to move in any direction near Longridge.
The rescue Team, being informed of small children in cars, deployed 3 of our 4×4 vehicles check on welfare of passengers. Upon arrival, it was found that everyone was okay so after a quick check to ensure the situation was stable, the rescue Team stood down.
During this period of severe weather, 9 team members were involved in this limited callout incident and we hope everyone concerned were okay.
