Incident 008/2024

On Sunday 3rd March 2024 at 12.22 pm, the rescue team received a request from the North West Ambulance Service to assist with a 42-year-old male who had fallen while out walking on Beacon Fell.

It was understood that the casualty had a compound fracture of the ankle and the rescue team were required to assist with the incident.

In attendance were the North West Air Ambulance alongside Paramedics, who treated and then evacuated to injured male to safety.

The incident took just under 2 hours and 17 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were involved.

We wish our casualty a speedy recovery and hopefully they will be out and about walking again soon.
