Incident 032/2025
The rescue Team were contacted at 18.35hrs on Tuesday 13th May 2025 by the North West Ambulance Service with a report of a fallen climber in Anglezarke Quarry, who had fell 20 feet causing injury to his lower back.
Once the Team were on scene, we made an assessment of the male climber and it was suspected that he had a spinal injury.
With a high pain score, pain relief was administrated and he was placed into our mountain rescue Vacuum mattress, he was then stretchered and extracted to the road to an awaiting ambulance and transported in to Preston Royal Infirmary.
We wish our male casualty a very speedy recovery and we hope he is out climbing again soon.
