Incident 046/2023

As incident 45 was completing (The Paraglider was in the Air Ambulance) and the team was packing up at Fell Foot, we were contacted again by the North West Ambulance Service to attend to a young male with a medical condition in a wooded area in Beacon Country Park, near Skelmersdale.

With team member’s still packing up, we redirected to the Beacon Country park and also requested assistance from our neighbours Bolton Mountain Rescue who attended with a small crew.

Once on scene, along with local Paramedics a medical assessment was made then he was stretchered to the road head where he was then transferred and taken to hospital.

We thank Bolton MRT for their help on the day and we wish our young casualty a very speedy recovery.

23 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue and 6 Bolton Mountain Rescue team members attended this incident which lasted over 3 hours.
