Incident 036/2023
On Wednesday 23rd August 2023, at 2.10pm, our rescue Team was requested by the North West Ambulance Service to assist with a female, age 50, with a leg injury.
Our first Team member was quickly on scene, they lived close by, but was unable to locate the casualty.
Our Team member searched paths to the Visitor Centre and the surrounding area, then liaised with the Ambulance Crew who reported that a member of the Public had reported he had seen a lady “hobble off” and the Casualty had been walked off by a Fell Ranger and made their own way to hospital.
At this point, our rescue Team stood down.
11 volunteer team members of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team attended or were on their way and the incident lasted just over the hour.
