Incident 012/2026
Thursday 2nd April at 11.45hrs, our second incident in 2 days we were requested by the North West Ambulance Service to attend to a 79-year-old male
reported with an Angina attack, reported as pale and dizzy and was sitting at the bottom of the hill. It was further reported that people were with him trying to get him to move, he was conscious and breathing.
With no ambulance or Helimed helicopter available, following a Team Call-out one of our Team members was close by and helped the casualty by walking him off the hill to a nearby farm where support was available from fellow Mountain Rescue Team members, he was then handed over to Paramedics on their for further examination and potential treatment.
12 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue responded to this incident and was the gentleman all the very best for the future.
