Incident 037/2026

Sunday 23rd August at 2.30pm, the rescue Team were requested by the North West Ambulance Service to assist with an extrication of a 70-year-old male who was having a stroke and was unable to move, he was located on a tow path that was difficult to get to.

Team members along with Ambulance Paramedics were responding to the incident, however we were stood down responding as we were informed that he had managed to walk to the ambulance. This was confirmed by our first team member who arrived on scene.

We wish the patient a speedy recovery and wish him all the very best for the future.
