Incident 038/2023

The rescue Team were called at 4pm on Thursday 14th September 2023 to assist with a female who had sustained a lower leg injury while out walking.

The casualty had been there for over two hours before we were called due to the injury being lowly scored by NWAS (lower leg injury, even outdoors).

The Team once on scene splinted the injury and she was then extracted on a Bell mountain rescue stretcher to the land ambulance for onward transport to RPH.

No update was received after the event.

14 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were involved in this incident.
