Incident 028/2026
On Friday 17th July we were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service to attend Cuerden Valley Country park where a male had fallen and was in Cardiac Arrest. The male was being treated by Paramedics and our services were required to assist with any carry off as the location was off the beaten track.
Unfortunately, although Paramedics, Air Ambulance and Mountain Rescue being on scene, the male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
17 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were deployed to this incident which took just under 3 hours to complete.
Our condolences go out to the family and friends of the deceased during this difficult time.
