Incident 007/2021
On Thursday 7th January 2021 late afternoon we were requested by the North West Ambulance Service to assist with an 18 year old female who had fallen and taken a tumble whilst out walking in Coppull, near Chorley. She had injured her lower back and was in quite a lot of pain, so when we arrived she was given Entonox as a pain relieve and we made her as comfortable as possible. The Team stretchered her a short distance using a full body vacuum mattress and mountain rescue Bell stretcher the short distance to the road head so she could be transferred into an ambulance where she was then transported into Wigan hospital.
We wish the young lady a speedy recovery, for what is our 6th incident of 2021!
