Incident 052/2022

On Sunday evening at 22.00hrs 23rd October 2022, the rescue Team were requested by Lancashire Police to attend Denham Quarry near Chorley for a 59-year-old female who had fallen and had suffered some lacerations to her head and had lower back pain.

Once the rescue Team were on scene, it appeared our casualty had slipped and had fallen a short distance, hence suffering her injuries.

The rescue Team assessed the female casualty, provided emergency casualty care and first aid and secured her in our mountain rescue vacuum mattress before evacuating her on the mountain rescue Bell stretcher to an awaiting land ambulance, where a full handover then occurred to the waiting Paramedics.

In total we had 13 Team members involved and the incident concluded after 2 1/2 hours.
