Incident 030/2025
Wednesday 7th May 2025 at 19.18hrs, as we were preparing for our weekly training session we were called and requested by the North West Ambulance Service to assist with an 83-year-old male who was suspected as having a Cardiac Arrest.
The incident, in the north of our area in Silverdale was in Eaves wood near the ‘Pepper Pot’, the Jubilee memorial.
Once the Team members had joined members of the Police the casualty was assessed (Breathing & Conscious) he was placed into our Casualty bag and stretchered off the hill back to the road, where we then successfully transferred him over to the Paramedics and ambulance.
24 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team and Police Officers from Lancashire Constabulary were involved in this incident which took 4 hours to complete.
