Incident 023/2023

On Thursday 1st June at 5pm, the rescue team were requested by the North West Ambulance Service to assist with the extrication of a 59-year-old female who had fallen in the Fairy Glen area, near Appley Bridge.

With reported injuries as shoulder, wrist and hip, the rescue team, along with the Paramedics extricated our casualty in a vacuum mattress on our mountain rescue Bell stretcher from the wood area to safety.

As always, we wish our casualty a speedy recovery.

12 volunteers of Bowland Pennine mountain rescue attended in the 2 hour rescue.
