Incident 025/2022

The rescue Team were called by the North West Ambulance Service who had a report of a male who who had fallen down a steep slope near the Fairy Glen Waterfall, near Appley Bridge.

On arrival, the rescue team quickly assessed the 67-year-old male and it appeared he had broken his ankle, he was also suffering from shock wit him feeling faint.

 

Once we had packaged our casualty up into our mountain rescue casualty bag (large fluffy sleepy bag), the rescue Team stretchered him the short distance over muddy and uneven ground to an awaiting Ambulance, where he was then transferred into the Paramedics hands for further treatment and transport into hospital.

As always, we wish our casualty a speedy and healthy recovery.
