Incident 055/2022

On Thursday 17th November 2022, at 1pm the rescue Team were requested by the North West Ambulance Service to attend and assist in Fulwood for a 79-year-old male who had fallen and had injured his hip and wrists.

With the weather conditions described as very poor due to the excess amount of rain which affected underfoot conditions, 12 mountain rescue volunteers attended to assist local Paramedics with the extraction.

The casualty was safely placed on our Bell mountain rescue stretcher and transferred over wet, Slippy and difficult terrain to the safety of the land ambulance, where the Paramedics then continued with the patient’s treatment.
