Incident 046/2025

Sunday 29th June 2025, our second incident and callout in the forest today came when we were called by the North West Ambulance Service at 20.20hrs for a 38-year-old male who had fallen from his mountain bike, the report was a minor injury to his finger but with darkness almost upon him and with being disorientated the rescue Team were called.

Upon arrival, the injured biker was on the fire road in the forest with his partner, so we assessed the injury and situation and applied first and made him comfortable.

We then transported the injured biker and his partner back to Stephen Park were their parents were waiting. We then stood down.

10 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue were involved in this callout which lasted 3 hours, we didn’t need a full callout today and we wish the injured mountain biker and his partner all the very best in the future.
