Incident 058/2021

On Sunday afternoon on the 17th October 2021 at approximately 14.10 pm, we received an alert from the North West Ambulance Service for assistance for a 48-year-old female walker who had slipped and had landed heavily on her back. With the incident happening over an hour before we were called, the casualty was already cold and very concerned for her own welfare. Once we had arrived, we determined that she had slipped on muddy ground and she reported to us that she had heard and felt a crack as she had fell. With the pain score of the casualty being over 8 out of 10 when we arrived, we administered pain reliving treatment, then we evacuated her on our vacuum mattress and bell stretcher to a land ambulance which was nearby.

As always, we wish our casualty a speedy recovery.
