Incident 033/2023

On Sunday afternoon 6th August, we were requested by the North West Ambulance Service to attend and assist at Gisburn Forest for a 51-year-old female who had fallen from her mountain bike and sustained an injury to her leg – she was described as conscious and breathing but was some distance from the hub at Stephen Park.

However, our rescue team stood down when informed that she had made her way back to the hub and friends were taking her to the hospital.

14 volunteers of Bowland Pennine MRT were responding to this incident, and we wish the mountain biker a speedy and quick recovery.
