Incident 030/2023

On Thursday 13th July around 1pm, the rescue team were contacted by Lancashire Police to assist with a high risk vulnerable person, who had been located by the Police Air Support Unit (Police Helicopter).

The casualty was in need of medical attention at the top of Grit Fell up from Jubilee Tower near Quernmore. Once in attendance the team treated the casualty for his injuries and then stretchered him the 2km down to the waiting ambulance at Jubilee Tower.

13 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were involved in this incident, which took 4 hours 20 minutes.
