Incident 071/2025

Saturday 20th December at 1.45pm we were requested by the North West Ambulance Service to attend to an incident on the banks of the river Lune at Halton for an 89-year-old male who had fallen into mud and brambles and was unable to move.

10 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue were involved in this incident, with the gentleman being unsteady, it was decided that he would be stretchered to safety using our mountain rescue Bell stretcher.

He was then handed over to Paramedics who were at the roadhead.

We wish our casualty a speedy recovery and we hope he is out and about very soon.
