Incident 040/2025

On Tuesday at 5.30pm 17th June 2025 we were requested by the North West Ambulance Service to attend to a 56-year-old female who had fallen and had potentially broken her leg in the Hesketh Bank area.

With a difficult extrication expected, Team members arrived on scene and carried out an initial assessment of the scene and injuries. We then placed the casualty onto our mountain rescue Bell stretcher and transferred her across rural land to a point where we transferred her over to the Paramedics in the land ambulance.

15 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were involved in this incident which took just under 3 hours to complete.

We wish our casualty a very speedy recovery and wish her all the very best from our rescue Team.
