Incident 026/2022

The rescue Team were requested by the North West Ambulance Service to assist with a 61-year-old male who was reported as having a cardiac arrest in Holme Wood, near Nicky Nook.

The casualty had been walking along the path on Grizedale Brook when the incident occurred and when mountain rescue and the Air Ambulance arrived on scene we carried out CPR in an attempt to revive him, however, after a period of time the casualty was declared deceased despite our best efforts.

As this was a death outdoors, the Police were called and attended then the rescue Team evacuated the deceased by stretcher and then team vehicle to the road head where he was then transferred to the funeral director at Fell End farm.

Our thoughts go with the family and friends during this sad time.
