Incident 024/2022

The rescue Team were called by the North West Ambulance Service to assist with a 63-year-old female who had slipped whilst out walking on the footpath in the Hurst Green area. She had suffered a suspected broken ankle and she couldn’t weight bare when trying to walk, she also felt drowsy.

 

On arrival the rescue team used vacuum splints to stabilise the injury and then extracted her on a mountain rescue Bell stretcher to a team vehicle. She was then driven over the fields to the road head before being handed over to the land ambulance and crew for further treatment.
