The team were called at 04.40hrs on Tuesday 14th July to assist with a 17-year-old male who had fallen from height and was in heavy vegetation and undergrowth on the bank of the river Lune in Lancaster.
With Emergency services on scene, access was extremely difficult to attend to the casualty so our expert techniques were requested to assist so the Paramedics could give medical treatment.
On arriving at scene, it was quickly determined that a multi-agency effort was in place and our rescue Team was stood down as Paramedics were treating the casualty and an escape route was possible.
14 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were attending this incident, but we wish the young male a speedy recovery.
