Wednesday 1st April at 12.45hrs the rescue Team were requested by the North West Ambulance Service to attend Nicky Nook for a 79-year-old male who had collapsed. CPR had been attempted but unfortunately by the Team and Paramedics arrived, despite everyone’s efforts, the casualty was pronounced deceased.
The incident, after local Police attendance the task was then an evacuation and body recovery off the hill.

14 volunteers of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team attended this incident.
