Whilst out walking on Nicky Nook, an 81-year-old male had fallen and had hit his head, he was also reported as having ineffective breathing.
Once the rescue team were on scene, the Air Ambulance was also on scene so we assisted where we could as they were located at the trig point on the summit. As it was, the casualty was able to walk down the fell with both Paramedics from the Air Ambulance and MRT to the helicopter, where he was then loaded into it and flown to Preston Royal Infirmary for further checks.
