Incident 054/2021 – Ouster Rake Track

The rescue team were called on Monday afternoon on the 20th September 2021 to a male who was reported to have fallen 100ft from the Ouster Rake path near Dunsop Bridge, he had managed to crawl up the side of the steep gully and was heard shouting for help from the local farmer who raised the alarm.
First on scene was the local police force and a United Utilities employee who administered first aid. Team members quickly arrived on scene and took over the treatment of the casualty, they were joined shortly by the North West Air Ambulance crew.
Due to the distance he had fallen and the nature of his injuries the team requested a coast guard helicopter who could winch him from his location for transportation to hospital. We wish him a speedy recovery.
